Application (VBA) and Visual Basic(VB) makes our database systems highly
efficient and provide an endless source of solutions for application
requirements.
GCS programming
staff have up to 10 years experience in developing databases.
In all GCS database, a great deal of
importance is placed on a design, which is suited to the specific
geological needs of the client. Most geological databases are designed to
suite a wide range of needs, at GCS, we will create a database in which
all the tools are used by the client. There will be no need to pay for a
package in which you use 20% of the functions 80% of the time. Additional
functions can be easily created with minimal disruption to the database.
We design in raw MS Access hence there are no maintenance
fee and you are not locked into our programmers. Anyone who can
wrote VB or VBA scripts are able to change the program.

In managing databases, GCS incorporates
all stages in the process of data control. We can control the data from
the field personnel and the laboratory to the reporting stage. Our service
will take care of the whole process of data collection and data
production.
We can also take
over any data manipulation required, i.e. converting data into other digital
formats and data validation.
In the service, we will custom-design data entry modules
for field personnel to use, to expedite the process of data transfer.
In all our systems, we allow for reporting needs, for example, the use of
tables, graphs and figures and plan logging. Hence the needs of the
user or a manager are only a phone call away or at a press of a button.

efficient task completions. We combine our skills in programming and our
geological background to create applications which have a geological

Manage and manipulate data in MS Access
Database
As GCS are experienced geologist, we
understand the data, which are generated and are able to locate errors
promptly. In the case of anomalous assays, we are able to denote if the
data is correct or in a wrong unit (e.g. PPM vs. PPB). Most
importantly, we are able to assess the data and make geologically sound
assumptions if required.

Database Consulting
With both exploration and mining
industry experience, GCS can provide valuable ideas on database
management. We will consult clients on how to set-up a database
